-great wars

-international supply chains failure

WORLD WAR III:

The name is not used consistently across surviving documents. Some use it to refer to the great war which sparked off the Collapse while others see it as the military phase of the Collapse.

After the Collapse:

-global communication networks collapsed

-many nations could no longer operate

-supply chains were disrupted

-population areas were rendered uninhabitable

-agricultural capacity reduced significantly

-automation systems worked on their own
